Krøgenes is a HAS architects project focused on Urban Design within Urban Design, status Completed, 2024. Urban development proposal exploring a tabula non-rasa approach to transformation, acknowledging existing structures, history, and landscape as active design drivers. The project builds on Krøgenes’ industrial heritage through adaptive reuse and selective densification, introducing new housing while preserving the district’s character. Reorientation toward the waterfront strengthens the connection to natural surroundings, supported by integrated green and blue structures that enhance ecological resilience and stormwater management. A network of public spaces encourages social interaction and everyday use, aiming to balance tradition with contemporary urban development in a resilient, forward-looking neighbourhood.
