The Coastal heath landscape project, located in the Bliksvær archipelago near Bodø in Northern Norway, is an innovative approach to landscape architecture, blending the preservation of traditional coastal heath landscapes with contemporary agricultural practices. This initiative addresses the challenge of preserving the natural heather landscape while introducing sustainable farming methods, such as an agroforestry system. The design incorporates landscape piazzas and pathways, inviting interaction with nature, and proposes architectural structures that reflect local traditions and materials. It represents a comprehensive plan to activate and sustainably manage these valuable cultural landscapes.
