The Bismo project proposes a multifunctional approach to tackle flooding in Norway, enhancing the community’s connection to the Otta River. It plans to integrate public spaces with a flood wall, adding a viewpoint tower, riverside cabin, fishing and kayaking platform, a natural beach bay, and a sauna. These features are designed for both locals and tourists, offering recreation and wellness opportunities. The project, developed through community consultation, aims to balance flood safety with enriching Bismo’s river-based heritage and natural beauty.
