The design of the Arctic Fire Station in Tromsø blends functionality with symbolic aesthetics. Its distinctive L-shaped facade, made of blue glass bricks, reflects the city’s wintry atmosphere and reinforces Tromsø’s identity as a forward-thinking Arctic city. The ground level houses essential technical and administrative areas, with easy access to the vehicle hall, the operational core. Crew accommodations, including living quarters and a modern fitness area, are strategically placed within the structure, offering a beacon of warmth during the dark winter months.
Designet for Arctic brannstasjon i Tromsø kombinerer funksjonalitet med symbolsk estetikk. Den distinkte L-formede fasaden i blå glassstein reflekterer byens vinterlige atmosfære, og forsterker Tromsøs identitet som en fremtidsrettet arktisk by. På bakkenivå finner vi tekniske og administrative områder, med rask tilgang til kjøretøyhallen, som utgjør den operative kjernen. Mannskapets fasiliteter, inkludert boligområder og et moderne treningsrom, er strategisk plassert i bygningens struktur, og skaper et varmesymbol i de mørke vintermånedene.
