The Arctic Fire Station design for Tromsø integrates functionality and symbolic aesthetics. Its distinctive L-shaped façade crafted from blue glass bricks reflects the city’s wintry vibe, reinforcing Tromsø’s identity as a forward-thinking Arctic city. The station’s ground level houses essential technical and administrative areas with swift access to the vehicle hall, the operational core. Accommodations for the crew, including living quarters and a modern fitness area for staff, are strategically placed in the structure, providing a beacon of warmth in the dark winter months.
